The Shellmet is a community-created cosmetic item for the Soldier. It is a green American M-1 military helmet similar to those distributed and worn during the Vietnam war. There is a black band wrapped around the helmet holding three Shotgun shells and gun oil on each side. When worn, the Soldier also holds a cigarette in his mouth with the "Genteel Smoke" particle effect.
The Shellmet was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Bullet Bowl".

Trivia
- Helmets often seen in Vietnam had a green camo pattern, and many soldiers would strap items on top for easy access, such as the ammo and gun oil bottle shown on this cosmetic.
- Given the notorious gun jamming issues of the Vietnam War, gun oil bottles were common helmet band items.
- Smoking was common during wartime as a way to relieve stress from battle.
- Fortunate Son was a Creedence Clearwater Revival song of 1969 that protested the unfairness of the Vietnam War.
- Because they do not share an equip region, the Soldier's Stogie can be worn with this item, letting the Soldier smoke two things at the same time.
