Trivia
- A grenadier is a soldier who specializes in handling grenades and other explosives. Grenadiers were a common rank in the German army in the Second World War.
- The softcap is more commonly known as a field cap or patrol cap. It is usually worn by military personnel with work uniforms when a combat helmet is not required. They can also be worn underneath modern helmets to provide shade for the wearer.
- An early concept of the hat, pictured in the gallery below, reveals that it was originally camouflaged and had an orange-and-black skull emblem attached to the front left side.
