The Rail Spikes are a Cosmetic item for the Pyro. It adds gold bands covered with steel spikes to the Pyro's neck, gloves and oxygen tank, as well as making the Pyro's boots slightly larger.
This item was later contributed to the Steam Workshop, at Valve's request.

- The item's description is a reference to a line spoken by Wheatley in Template:W: "Had a bit of a brain wave. There I was, smashing some steel plates together, and I thought, 'yes, it's deadly. But what's missing? What's missing?' And I thought lots of sharp bits welded onto the flat bits."
