The Pug Mug is a community-created cosmetic item for the Engineer. It hides the Engineer's default hardhat, and replaces his head with a fawn pug's head wearing team-colored safety goggles and a team-colored collar, from which hangs a bone-shaped tag with "Dell" written on it.
The head comes with fully-enabled facial flexing for voice commands and responses.
This item has two styles, named "Paint: Collar" and "Paint: Lense". "Paint: Collar" applies paint to the collar and makes the goggles' lenses team-colored, while "Paint: Lense" applies paint to the lenses.
This item can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.
The Pug Mug was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

This item has very little effect on its appearance when its styles are changed unless painted. Pink as Hell paint is used here for demonstration purposes.
Update history
October 1, 2020 Patch (Scream Fortress 2020)
- The Pug Mug was added to the game.
Bugs
- The style "Paint: Lense" contains a typo, as a common misspelling of "lens" and plural "lenses".
Trivia
- The Pug Mug adds a bone-shaped tag with the name "Dell" on it. Dell is the Engineer's first name (Dell Conagher).
