The Mining Light is a headwear item for the Engineer. It appears as a faintly glowing strap-on helmet lamp attached to his regular hardhat, that is similar to the ones used by miners.

The hat description was written by ravn0s for the Hat Describing Contest, and was slightly edited by Valve.
