Crazy legs!
Coach

The Crazy Legs is a community-created cosmetic item for the Scout. It wraps cloth around parts of the Scout's legs, and removes his left sock and shoe, revealing an injured and discolored, zombie-like foot with a small line of blood pouring down.

This item can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.

The Crazy Legs was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history

October 29, 2014 Patch (Scream Fortress 2014)

  • The Crazy Legs was added to the game.

Bugs

  • One of the materials for this item, sf14_scout_hunter_legs_1.vmt, uses the wrong lightwrap texture, causing several areas to appear darker than intended.

Trivia

  • The name of this item was inspired by an old bug that caused (and sometimes still causes) the Scout's legs to bend in unnatural ways, nicknamed Crazy Legs (sometimes called "Bacon Legs") by Valve.
    • It is also an alternate name for the Hunter, the Special Infected from the Left 4 Dead series that this item is inspired by.
