The Whiskered Gentleman is a community-created Miscellaneous item for the Pyro and was chosen by Valve to be released with the second wave of community-contributed content due to its outstanding quality. It appears as a monocle, fake mustache and goatee that the Pyro has taped onto its mask.
Trivia
- The Whiskered Gentleman was originally a hat on release. This was changed to a Miscellaneous item the next day to suit combinations with
hats.
- The hat's addition is likely an attempt by Valve to further confuse the player over the Pyro's gender as it portrays the character to be male. This conflicts with him (or her) owning a purse in the spawn room's locker and the overtly feminine humiliation stance.
