The Brigade helm is an unlockable headwear item for the Pyro. It appears as a team colored thermoplastic helmet, typically associated with firefighters. The Pyro wears the hat atop his regular gas mask.

Trivia

• A firefighter's helmet usually displays the name, number and crest of the city firehouse to which he belongs. Since the Pyro's helmet displays only his icon, it would seem he is still far more interested in starting fires than putting them out.
• This hat is designed with a brim on the back, designed to prevent water runoff from firefighting hoses onto the wearer's neck. With the Pyro, it serves very little purpose.
• The Brigade Helmet could also serve as reference to the novel Fahrenheit 451, in which the firemen in the supposed bad-society of the future actually start fires using flamethrowers, much like the Pyro himself.
• The Brigade Helmet and the Vintage merryweather are the only hats of the Pyro's that don't allude to his apparent lack of sanity.
• Perhaps coincidentally, this hat and the Vintage merryweather is also inspired by firemen.
