Trivia

  • A firefighter's helmet usually displays the name, number and crest of the city firehouse to which he belongs. Since the Pyro's helmet displays only his/her icon, it would seem he is still far more interested in starting fires than putting them out.
  • This hat is designed with a brim on the back, designed to prevent water runoff from firefighting hoses onto the wearer's neck. With the Pyro, it serves very little purpose.
  • The Brigade Helm could also serve as reference to the novel Fahrenheit 451, in which the firemen in the supposedly bad society of the future actually start fires using flamethrowers, much like the Pyro himself.
  • The Brigade Helm is the only hat of the Pyro's that doesn't allude to his/her apparent lack of sanity.
  • When painted, the RED/BLU area changes color to match whichever paint is used; the yellow area of the flame emblem remains the same.
