The Samur-Eye is a community-created headwear item for the Demoman. It appears as a black Template:W helmet with a wide, pale yellow crescent mounted on the front, separating it from the Killer's Kabuto.
The Samur-Eye, released with the Shogun Pack, was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam before March 15, 2011. It is also available through crafting, item drops, or purchase from the Mann Co. Store.
Update history
- The item was added to the game.
- Fixed the new Shogun hats not being grayed out when paint is being used.
- The item is now able to be traded along with all Shogun Pack items.
Bugs
- The hat clips significantly with the Demoman's collar.
Trivia
- The Samur-Eye is a replica of the helmet worn by the samurai lord Template:W. The item description makes a reference to Date Masamune's nickname, The One-eyed Dragon. This nickname refers to the fact that Date Masamune also used an eyepatch, although the Demoman's eyepatch is on the other eye.
