Halloween Masks are cosmetic items for all classes. Similar in appearance to the Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask, each mask is a brown paper bag depicting a crudely-drawn face of a class with orange devil horns. Any mask can be worn by any class. These masks are holiday restricted to Halloween and Full Moon events.
Only the Saxton Hale Mask lacks a holiday restriction, and may be worn at any time throughout the year.
The masks first appeared in the Scream Fortress event. They could be obtained in the Mann Manor map during the annual Haunted Halloween Special Event, where a Haunted Halloween Gift would appear every five minutes on a server with 10 or more non-bot players. The Haunted Halloween Gift would not appear on Mann Manor outside of the annual Haunted Halloween Special Event, and as such these items were only obtainable by trading at other times. Only the Saxton Hale Mask lacks a holiday restriction, and may be worn at any time throughout the year.
Since Scream Fortress 2015, Halloween Masks are available through completing Merasmissions, or through the Halloween Transmute feature.
