The Battle Bear is a community-created cosmetic item for all classes. It is a team-colored teddy bear, with three patches on its stomach, that sits on the mercenaries' right shoulder (left for the Soldier).
This item has two styles, named "Flair" and "Bare". The "Flair" style makes it so the bear resembles the class wearing it, while the "Bare" style gives it a generic look.
When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that it gets the assist, with its custom name if it has one.
The Battle Bear was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
