Bread Space is a community-made Payload map released during the Smissmas 2021 update. It is set in a decaying moonbase where a giant Bread Monster lurks deep underground. Blu team is tasked with pushing a drill cart into the maw of the bread monster while Red must defend the bread monster as they have turned into bread cultists.
Bread Space was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

December 2, 2021 Patch (Smissmas 2021)
- Added Bread Space to the game.
Bugs
- In the last point outside the red spawn on the left there is a room with panels with lights you can walk to the second panel and clip yourself off the map and move, you can also build Teleporters, Dispensers and Sentry Guns, the 2 teams can enter said area.
- It's possible to place stickies on the bomb cart and spawn door. If the bomb cart moves or spawn doors open, the stickies will float in the air.
- Sometimes, when the bomb is pushed to the end, instead of dropping into the bread monsters mouth, the animation of the cart dropping will play but the cart will still remain on the tracks.
Trivia
- The name "Bread Space" is a reference to the Dead Space franchise.[1]
- In the final RED spawn room there is a frozen skeleton in a cryopod, this is a nod to Futurama's main protagonist Fry.[1]
- Outside the first RED spawn, the number "1979" can be seen, this is the year when the movie Alien was released. [1]
- There are some drawings by "Hatman" resembling the ones drawn by Rattman from the Portal universe [1]
