The Holiday Headcase is a community-created headwear item wearable by all classes. It is a team-colored present loosely held together by a yellow bow, worn over the classes' heads.
The Holiday Headcase was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Severed Smissmas Hat".
This hat could only be randomly obtained as a prize from the Great Gift Pile during the Steam Holiday Sale 2011, via crafting 7 Holiday Coal, or for earning achievements for the event.

- The hat was originally intended to have 5 different paint styles, but only one of them was implemented in the game.
