Shoot over my bones, and I shall visit upon you a haunting the likes of which you have never seen.
Zepheniah Mann

The Ghastly Gibus is an unlockable headwear item available to all classes. It appears as a slightly damaged, black gibus hat with the top nearly detached. In a similar fashion to the Gentle Manne's Service Medal, the first possible method of getting this hat was to be one of the first 10,319 people to visit a hidden web page. The alternative method, through which it can still be unlocked, is to complete the Ghastly Gibus Grab achievement by dominating a player wearing the hat. Unlike the Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask, players are not restricted to when they can wear the hat. This hat can be worn all year round.

The hat description was written by Esquilax for the Hat Describing Contest.

Each Ghastly Gibus earned prior to the Scream Fortress update was changed to a Ghastlier Gibus.
