You are all weak. You are all bleeders.
The Soldier

The Concheror (/kɒŋk'ɛrɔr/ konk-err-or) is a promotional secondary weapon for the Soldier. It is a light brown wooden box with dark brown corners and a quad diamond shaped insignia, accompanied by a conch shell. A white, slightly tattered, vertical banner flag with the same diamond insignia secured onto a pair of bamboo sticks appears when the banner call is played.

Like the Buff Banner and the Battalion's Backup, the Concheror provides a specified effect for surrounding teammates. This banner charges through a combination of either dealing or receiving damage. Like the Buff Banner, holding down the primary fire button will delay the effect until the button is released. While this banner's buff is active, allies within 450 units are healed for 35% of the damage they deal.

This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam before March 15, 2011.

Bugs

  • In some instances upon joining a server and playing as a Soldier with this weapon equipped, the Rage Meter in the bottom right hand corner of the HUD disappears for the duration of the first spawn to first death.
  • If a player holds down the primary-fire button after the end of activation to keep a buff ready for deployment, the Soldier will lower the conch. The other backpack weapons have the Soldier keep his bugle held until the button is released.
  • If you are killed when you are activating the Concheror, you can still hear a horn sound effect.

Trivia

  • The "horn" sound effect is unique for this banner; however, unlike those for the Buff Banner and Batallion's Backup, it is the same for both RED and BLU teams.
  • The flag and the conch shell are styled after the Template:W and the Template:W respectively. The symbol on the flag serves to distinguish which army the troop belongs to while the conch shell is generally used as a signaling trumpet.
  • The flag's symbol is that of the Template:W, a famous line of samurai warlords from the Sengoku, or Warring States era.
  • Template:W (指物) were small banners fitted to the backs of Japanese soldiers from mid-15th to early 17th century, for identification in battle.
  • The name is a play on the words "Template:W", the weapon's substitute for a bugle, and "conqueror".
