Dude, this is just like Team Fortress 2!
Ellis

Ellis' Cap is a new unlockable headwear item. It's a reference to the hat worn by Ellis, a character from Valve's zombie shooter franchise, Left 4 Dead 2. Beginning October 6th, 2010, Ellis' Cap, along with the Frying Pan, was awarded to anyone who bought Left 4 Dead 2 before Thursday, October 7, 2010, 4pm Pacific Standard Time, as well as anyone who already owned Left 4 Dead 2. According to "Sacrifice: TF2 Items" on the L4D Blog, anyone who owned L4D2 prior to the announcement would receive the item a few days later.

Trivia

  • This is the second Left 4 Dead related hat in Team Fortress 2 that is available for all classes, the first being Bill's Hat.
  • The Sacrifice update page had a skeleton wearing this Cap days before its official announcement.
  • Ellis' Cap was in the Mann Co. catalog upon the Mann-Conomy's release making the Cap's release obvious.
  • Ellis' Cap is the second all class baseball cap to be released, after the Mann Co. Cap, with both being based upon the same model.
