Demoman'en, rigtige navn er Tavish DeGroot, er en fuld scrumpy drikkende nedrivnings ekspert fra det skotske højland, og er en de mest alsidige medlemmer af holdet. Selvom hans våben ikke er specielt nøjagtige ved længere afstande, er Demoman'en yderst kraftfuld og hans uforudsigelighed gør at han kan klare sig selv i stort set hvilken som helst situation. Han er en eksplosions mester, som udmærker sig ved indirekte og kampe ved medium afstande. Udstyret med hans Granatkaster og Klæbebombekaster, bruger Demoman'en hans eneste gode øje og hans kendskab til det omkring liggende miljø til at detonere sine bomber på de rigtige tidspunkter, som sender hans fjender i vejret, ofte i mange stykker. Skulle nogen komme forbi hans eksplosioner, vil de hurtigt lære at Demoman'en også er yderst farlig i nærkamp, da han har et stort udvalg af nærkamps våben i hans arsenal.

Demoman'en udmærker sig ved hurtig ødelæggelse; han kan få hans grenater til hoppe i kreative vinkler, og skabe ravage hos fjendtlige Sentry Guns mens han er udenfor skudvidde. Hans Klæbebomber er det perfekte redskab til område benægtelse, og er også effektive til at holde fjender væk fra vogne, kontrolpunkter og Intelligence kufferter, som han anser for at være forbudte områder.

Gary Schwartz har lagt stemme til Demoman'en.

Trivia

  • Den censurede del af Demoman's udfald i Meet the Demoman traileren vil blive udfyldt i en konkurrence afholdt af Kritzkarst. De vindende indsendelser vil modtage priser der bliver udgivet af Valve.
  • Både Heavy og Demoman er stemme-skuespillet af Gary Schwartz.
  • Demomanen er født i en klan af skotske Demomen hvis motto er "In regione caecorum rex est luscus", hvilket groft oversættes til "I det rige af blinde, er den en-øjede konge." Ifølge hans mor havde hans far mistet begge sine øjne inden han var 30, og forbiholdt 26 jobs indtil den dag han døde.
  • Demomanens glame trading card bio er for det meste identisk, bortset fra det er hans rigtige forældre der er blevet dræbt, istedet for hans adoptive.
  • Demomanen mangler sit skulder emblem i RED main menu splash skærmen. (Både i det originale RED hold photo, og i Soldier/Demo Face-off billedet.) Han mangler også sit skulder emblem i Meet the Demoman.
