The Maul is a promotional melee weapon for the Pyro. It is a "Red Faction inspired hammer," modeled after the sledgehammer from Red Faction: Armageddon.

This weapon functions in exactly the same way as the Homewrecker.

The Maul was awarded with Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Red Faction: Armageddon before June 6, 2011.^[1]

Trivia

As with Homefront, Red Faction: Armageddon was not available for pre-order in the United Kingdom, making this item initially unobtainable in that region.
