The Demoman on dead horsemen

The Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker is a melee weapon for the Demoman class. It appears as a rustic single bladed axe once wielded by the Horseless Headless Horsemann. It is covered in notches and sports a malevolently grinning face.

This weapon will only drop with the Unusual rarity due to the circumstances of acquiring it. It is essentially a reskin of the Eyelander; it deals the same damage, has the same function times, and has the ability to increase the player's speed and maximum health upon decapitating another player. Additionally, if the player manages to decapitate another Demoman wielding the Eyelander or this weapon, the enemy's accumulated head count and own head will be added to that the player.

This item can be crafted using the Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap, acquired from the Gored! achievement.

  • While equipped the Axe may randomly whisper "head" during the game.
  • This is the first weapon in the history of Team Fortress 2 to be of Unusual quality.
