With this mean pistol no one runs from the Scout.
Winger publicity blurb

The Winger is a community-created secondary weapon for the Scout. It is a grey-blue pistol with an inset radiation trefoil on its grip and a small pair of stylized yellow wings emblazoned on the slide over the magazine.

This weapon deals 15% more damage than the default Pistol, but only loads 5 rounds at a time. This makes the Winger superior at finishing off injured targets at close range, but not for prolonged combat. It also grants a +25% jump height bonus when active, which can be used to access more map routes that require jumping.

Bugs

  • When jumping as Scout, crouching before landing on the ground, then continuing to crouch, may cause the player model to use the idle animation while holding the Winger. The actual hitbox is still the same.

Trivia

  • Unlike the default Pistol, the Winger does not feature a hammer in the back which would strike the firing pin. During development, the creator originally included a hammer, but later removed it to differentiate it from the Pistol, stating that the Winger operated on an internal-pin. [1]
