The Secret Saxton is an action item. It is represented by a yellow present with a red ribbon.
When used, it randomly gifts an item to another player in the same server. This item can only be used if the user has a premium account, and cannot be used while untradable.
Description
Upon using the Secret Saxton, a random player in the current server is selected to receive a random item as a gift, and a notification is displayed to all players in the server (prompting applause and cheering sounds). The gifted item is then placed in the recipient's backpack.
The Secret Saxton can be used by equipping it in the Action slot, then pressing the "Use Item in Action Slot" key (default key: H). Alternatively, selecting it in the backpack and clicking "Use" achieves the same effect. It is possible for the Secret Saxton to be used in a server with only one other player, guaranteeing that the other player receives the random gift. The user of the tool never receives a gift from their own Secret Saxton.
This item can be obtained through purchase from the Mann Co. Store, by trading, through another Secret Saxton, a Pile o' Gifts, or when it is distributed to all premium players for special events. For instance, a Secret Saxton is distributed to every player with a premium account at the start of each annual Smissmas event.
A player who owns the Spirit of Giving can increment its rank by using Secret Saxtons to grant random gifts to other players.
Additionally, the Gifting Man From Gifting Land is given every day to the person worldwide who gave out the most gifts the previous day.
Contents
Items acquired through the Secret Saxton are marked as gifts from the user and timestamped with the receipt time and date in their descriptions. Most items normally found via the item drop system (such as weapons, cosmetic items, and some tools) can be obtained from opening a gift.
