The First Community Contribution Update, also known as the First Contribute! Update, was the in-game release of new items made by the community and selected by Valve through the Contribution page. Released with the March 18, 2010 Patch, the update added a total of 3 new weapons and 9 new hats.

The First Community Contribution Update introduced the concept of "shared" weapons to Team Fortress 2, with the Pain Train. These shared weapons could be used by more than one class such as the Demoman, and the Soldier.
