Brugge is a community-created Mann vs. Machine map made by Dayal and Startacker!. It is set in the city of Bruges. It was made for the community campaign Operation Madness vs Machines.

Three missions were made for Brugge for Madness vs Machines: Flemish Feud (Intermediate), Sparkbag Subroutine (Intermediate), and Funeral Toll (Advanced).

Locations

Hatch Area

The hatch is located in front of a version of the Belfry of Bruges. The area is quite open, with higher locations being able to view the general area.

  • Archway: A large archway splits the area from the rest of the map. Two rooms are present on both sides, with one providing a room to watch the inside of the arch, and the other giving a pathway to a side-route.
  • River Path: A flat path leading to the river. Two platforms neighbor where it exits to the hatch.

Road

A winding road acts as one of the paths the robots may take during a wave. Some delivery vans are parked on the sides of the road.

  • Balcony: An open balcony is present for defenders to use, giving access to both high ground and cover.
  • Platform: Along the road is a platform that is also connected to the hatch's archway.
  • Upgrade Station: A building with an Upgrade Station in it can be used in-between waves.

Bridge

The other route robots may take is a bridge that goes over an intersecting river. Robots will always take the bridge over, and robots carrying the bomb can be pushed into the river to force them to go back over the bridge.

Two ramps are present on opposite sides of the river, giving access to the Road and to the Hatch Area.

Front

  • Bell Building: The robots' primary spawn location. Sets of stairs lead down to the rest of the area.
  • Alleyway: To the side of the River Building, an alleyway acts as a secondary spawn for the robots.
  • River Building: On the opposite side of the other two spawns is a river-side building that robots also use as a spawn.
  • Tunnel: Underneath the Bell Building, some waves have tanks take the tunnel the road leads into as a spawn point.
  • Overlook: A raised position overlooks the entire area while additionally providing some cover. The Upgrade Station building can also be accessed from here.
  • Vans: Two parked vans and two fenced-in dumpsters provide a sniping position for the area.
  • Front Archway: Another archway is located at the end of the Front, disconnecting the area from the rest of the map.

Trivia

  • A wooden cutout of the Engineer from Target is present in the defenders' spawn. This cutout can be destroyed in the same way as those in Target.
