The Engineer trapping an enemy

The Bear Trap is a scrapped grenade weapon that would have been used by the Scout. This grenade is similar in appearance to a standard bear trap. It was supposed to act like the Caltrop from the games Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic, slowing down the enemy while inflicting a slight amount of damage. This, along with other grenades were cut from the final game due to Valve's choice to remove grenades as weapons from Team Fortress 2.
