Um homem teutônico da medicina com uma aderência tênue às éticas da medicina, o Medic é nada mais que a classe de cura primária da equipe. Já que ele não possui o melhor arsenal para duelar, ele é típicamente achadao nas linhas de frente, curando colegas de equipe machucados enquanto tenta ficar longe de encrenca. Enquanto sua Medigun é focada para um aliado, colegas de equipe machucados vão rápidamente regenerar vida, enquanto a saúde de colegas de equipe não feridos será aumentada. Enquanto cura, a barra de ÜberCharge do médico vai preenchendo até que comece a cintilar, no ponto que poderá ativar uma carga letal que fará ele e um aliado temporariamente invulnerável ou dará ao paciente 100% de tiros Criticos por até 8 segundos.

O Medic é a única classe capaz de regenerar vida com o tempo; quanto mais ficar longe de combate, mais rápido sua saúde irá recuperar. Um médico ferido irá regenerar saúde em 3 HP por segundo, que escalará então para um máximo de 6 HP por segundo (só que carregand oa Blutsauger reduzirá a taxa de regeneração de 3-6 para 1-4).

The Medic, along with the Pyro, did not receive a job description and motto in Trailer 2, though the trailer for the canceled Black Box (not to be confused with the Soldier's Black Box) does feature footage of him firing his Syringe Gun in the beta 2Fort.
  • The Medic is the only class not to receive a taunt attack in his own update, however one of his taunts was later altered to heal him. He then received an actual taunt kill in a later update, making the Medic one of two classes, along with the Engineer, with two taunts that have an effect.
  • The Medic is voiced by Template:W, who has voiced numerous other characters for video games including Template:W, Template:W and Template:W.
  • If a Medic is killed while having an ÜberCharge prepared but undeployed, his ragdoll will briefly be surrounded by electricity.
  • According to one of the Demoman's domination lines, the Medic has a wife. Whether the Demoman is a reliable source of information is an entirely different question.
  • The Medic is the only class who wears glasses for eyesight reasons.

  • There are two unused voice commands for calling the Medic: one, two. These were most likely temporary sounds during testing, or from the canceled version of TF2, where it was much more realistic and military themed.
  • Out of all the classes, the Medic speaks the most in a language other than English. About half his dialogue is German, although the way he uses his native language often seems out of place, and he sometimes structures sentences oddly (as in instead of saying "Stop losing," he says "Losing is verboten" ('forbidden' in German). His accent also sometimes sounds odd, and he will occasionally pronounce words incorrectly.
  • Suitably, the Medic seems to be the only class without a liable health problem. The Scout has an extremely high sugar intake (and possible radiation poisoning), the Soldier undergoes frequent leg fracturing, the Pyro's lungs are ravaged from his asbestos-lined suit, the Demoman is an alcoholic and also experiences constant leg fracturing, the Heavy is overweight, the Engineer amputated himself, the Sniper has impeding kidney failure, and the Spy is a casual smoker. Despite his peers, the Medic so far seems to be completely healthy, aside from his mental health and sadism, traits that all the classes seem to exhibit to some degree.
  • The Medic's version of the Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask has a huge ghoulish face with stitches on its forehead, a reference to Frankenstein's monster and the Medic's slight mad scientist nature.
  • The Medic has the most class-specific achievements, with 36.
