Haunted Metal Scrap is obtainable in-game (but only with the Unusual rarity) as part of the Scream Fortress Update. To obtain this item you must land one of the killing blows on the Horseless Headless Horsemann with a melee weapon, and remain alive during his death. Only a single Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap is obtainable per individual account, due to it being linked to the achievement "Gored!". The metal is not tradable, unless Gift Wrapped and then sent to another player. The Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap can be used to craft the Unusual Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker or one of the two Halloween hats released in the Scream Fortress Update.
