I could not find a single tanker helmet/hat that looks anything like this cosmetic, what is the source?

Seems like there was never a source provided, although it not looking like one doesn't necessarily mean it's not inspired by it. It's apparently been confirmed by the creator, that it is the inspiration but no source left behind.
