Adding translations to templates

1
BrazilianNut (talkcontribs)

Greetings.

When adding translations to templates, please do not overwrite the English text; instead, add the translation in a new line, prefixed by | ru = or | ru: (depending on whether the template uses = or :) and in the proper place in the alphabetical order.

Example: to add an Italian translation to

 | en = Sample text.
 | es = Texto de ejemplo.
 | pt-br = Texto de amostra.

new text should be added in-between the "es" and "pt-br" texts, like this:

 | en = Sample text.
 | es = Texto de ejemplo.
 | it = Testo di esempio.
 | pt-br = Texto de amostra.

English texts are the exception to the alphabetical order, as they are the base text for translations and always go first for convenience.

I hope this helps you. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. - BrazilianNut (talk) 17:20, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
