The way that the sentence is structured implies that he's from a city/state in the United States called "Midwest," yet the word "Midwest" links to the Wikipedia article for that general region of the country, being the [[w:Midwestern United States|Midwestern United States]]. I understand that the character's official bio directly states "Midwest, USA," but I highly doubt that they're referring to a city/state called Midwest.
