Dota

As the DOTA 2 items are promotional should they also be listed on this page? Casperr 17:27, 17 January 2012 (PST)

Will add this later in the main section following irc discussion. Promotional items (and event items) are not explicitly marked as uncraftable, however, unlike regular hats they do not yeild headgear when combined. '''''UltimateTerabyte''''' 11:34, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Should the whole Vintage Lugermorph business be added in the notes of the Sam & Max Lugermorph? If so, here's a sentence that could be added: "These Lugermorphs became Vintage when the Poker Night at the Inventory items were added to the game in the November 19, 2010 Patch" Nizar 07:57, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

It's already mentioned on the lugermorph article. Moussekateer 08:01, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Limited Items

Should they also end up here? Or is this strictly for the promotional items. Examples being the Cheater's Lament and golden wrench. For that matter, is the golden wrench technically limited or promotional, or both? -= M-NINJA Burger Gib.png =- 03:15, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Promotional means just that. Not limited. That's something to keep in mind, though. -- En Ex (talk) 03:18, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Limited in the sense you mean, I mean. -- En Ex (talk) 03:21, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

New Column?

Now that there are so many promotional items with varying states of obtainability, should we consider adding another column to each table row which indicates whether or not a particular item is still obtainable? Example values would be "No", "Craft (Non-Genuine only)", "Purchase (Non-Genuine only)", "Achievement", etc. Noibn 14:53, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Japan Charity Items

I've already tried to discuss this on the talk:Magnanimous Monarch page, but no-one's really given me any feedback. I think it takes some of the meaning out of the Japan Charity Bundle items being charitable if they are listed as being "promotional" - this associates them with marketing and advertising, which isn't the point of them at all. I suggest making a new section for Charity items, seeing as there are enough of them to merit a new section. Does anyone else support this? If not, then at the very least the description on the Promotional items page should be altered to accommodate charity items as well. Cooper Kid 18:37, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

maybe if there was ever another "charity item" it'd warrant it HyenaDip 22:23, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
There are 5 of them - I think that's enough to warrant a new page. Cooper Kid 11:31, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
I support a second page as well, even if we never get any additional charity items. It just seems like bad form to mix and mingle "charity" with "promotion". Noibn 14:56, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Steam Game Gifts

I found something very interesting a short while ago. I had purchased a 4 Pack of Monday Night Combat back during the promotional period. One of the guys in on the split bailed so I was stuck with an extra copy. I found that when I gifted it to another player through Steam, the user still got the promotional items, even though the promotion had long since ended! Nam-Ereh-Won 20:22, 3 July 2011 (PDT)

Order

This may be a mistake on my part, but is there any kind of chronological or otherwise order on this page? I say this because to me, the weapons, hats, and misc. items listed here were just dropped here. --Protroid 13:16, 23 August 2011 (PDT)

The promoted games are listed alphabetically, with the exception of Other and Cut promotional items. -- Killicon train.png Hefaistus - talk 13:25, 23 August 2011 (PDT)
Oh, thank you. --Protroid 16:13, 23 August 2011 (PDT)
Is there any way to set this page up so you can choose alphabetical or release date instead of just one or the other? Mattwo 14:04, 16 November 2011 (PST)

See also

Do we really need the "See also" links to Wikipedia when there are pages to those games right on the wiki with links to Wikipedia already? Rolandius 06:46, 11 October 2011 (PDT)

Are you simply suggesting the links are changed so they go to the TF2 Wiki pages instead of Wikipedia? If so then I Pictogram plus.png Support. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 08:09, 11 October 2011 (PDT)
Pretty much. Making the section names the "links" would be the easiest way. Rolandius 19:21, 11 October 2011 (PDT)
I've always thought that section headings shouldn't be linked, but replacing the current See Also bit with Wiki links would be fine. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 15:15, 12 October 2011 (PDT)

Template

I saw that some tables of other languages are outdated, maybe, with a template, can we solve this problem. I made this, I have only edited the alien swarm for a preview. Dio ★ | talk 12:55, 11 November 2011 (PST)

The "Other" Section.

The items showed in the other section are pretty wrong, neither of the Seal mask or the Manniversarry Hat was given. It was the cauldron/gift, in-fact the Manniversarry hat is drop able unlike the gift which is not.

I thought I'll better get an +support from some people before doing something, also I added the Dota 2 Items, valve will probably will use them again for a promotion item for Dota 2 itself but for now it's only for the Dota 2 International players. Atlas 12:56, 20 November 2011 (PST)

The International Players didn't got the Dota 2 hats. The rumour that they did is unfounded and false. -- Killicon train.png Hefaistus - talk 13:21, 20 November 2011 (PST)
