Общее

Gang Garrison 2 это фанатская игра созданная командой из трех человек: MedO (программирование), mrfredman (художник), and Synnah (звук). Первый релиз был 7го Августа 2008 года. Игра первоначально была создана для TIGSource Forums’ Bootleg Demake Contest (Состязание по созданию демейков) . Игра была создана в программе Game Maker. Игра также как и TF2 создана полностью под мультиплеерный режим. Все элементы пародированы, например 8-разрядный ремикс основной музыкальной темы Team Fortress 2 и логотип Valve при запуске игры заменен на ретро-логотип выдуманной компании "FAUCET".

Геймплей

С версии 2.2 доступны 4 режима: Захват разведданных: Требуется найти, подобрать а затем принести себе на базу разведданные для получение очков. Победа достигается при определенном количестве очков! Контрольные точки: Этот режим разделяется на два, стандартный и Защита\Нападение Стандарт - Захватить все контрольные точки для победы. Защита\Нападение - Команда Красных должна захватить все точки, синие - их защитить. Арена: Здесь невозможно ожить и цель - уничтожить команду врага. Если к определенному времени ни одна команда не погибла полностью, появляется точка, которую нужно захватить для победы в раунде. Победы накапливаются, набравший наибольшее количество побед побеждает окончательно. Генератор: Режим созданный специально для Gang Garrison 2 (Примечание: были попытки создать режим Destruction в TF2 но он не получил распространения). У обеих команд есть генератор который нужно защищать, уничтожая генератор врага.

Классы

Бегун

Самый быстрый класс в игре. Идеален в захвате точек и разведданных (из-за скорости и двойного прыжка). Здоровье - 100; Стреляет дробью - 6 пуль по 8 урон у каждой.

The Rocket Man

The Rocket Man has very high health and holds a rocket launcher. His rocket launcher deals 55 damage per shot, can cause splash damage, and has a high range, but possesses a slow rate of fire and only has 4 ammo. It can also be used to rocket jump, using the explosion to launch you way up in the air. This allows you to go higher than a Runner, but still a much less agile combatant.

The Firebug

The Firebug is the only 'melee' unit in the game. He is quick and packs quite a punch (90 damage per second!). The flamethrower has a short range, about 5 times your width, and is strongest at point blank range. It also has an after effect. Once someone is hit they are set on fire, which causes more damage over a short amount of time. Even if they take you out, you can still get the last laugh. Firebug has also ability to airblast which can deflect rockets and sticky grenades.

The Detonator

The Detonator hurls up to 8 mines from his gun and can detonate them remotely. Just a few mines can kill any unit (25-50 damage). He's good at a long range but up close you need skill and reflexes to take out your enemies. The Detonator is one of the less mobile units in the game. He can jump using the explosions from his mines but this will take off quite a bit of his health.

The Overweight

The Overweight is really fat. That makes him very slow and gives him a very low jump but also grants him the most health of any class. He wields a huge chain gun, which deals 120 damage per second, at 12 damage per bullet. His bullets are very compact at close range but spread out over longer distances. A Healer is his best friend, together they are a force to be reckoned with. By clicking the right mouse button, the Overweight can eat one of his Manvich, restoring his health slightly, but leaving him defenseless for the duration of its consumption.

The Constructor

The Constructor is like a cross between the Runner and Detonator. He wields a nice shotgun which shoots 4 bullets at 6 damage per bullet and has the ability to make Sentries. These are stationary gun turrets that will riddle nearby enemies full of bullets on sight. However, these sentries cannot be upgraded. He has a decent speed and jump height.

The Healer

The Healer is the only unit that can heal, just yell "MEDIC!" (keyboard key "E"). He constantly regenerates health and can also heal others at a steady rate. He can utilize his Syringe gun with the right mouse button, which has a very quick rate of fire but greatly lacks in range and power. By holding the left mouse button, he can use his Medigun, which can heal friendly teammates. He has average mobility. He is best used as a healing support unit. Healing teammates builds the Healer's superburst meter. When it is completely filled, the Healer can grant himself and a teammate temporary invincibility! Simply heal a teammate and right click at the same time to activate your superburst.

The Rifleman

The Rifleman wields a Sniper rifle, the most deadly weapon in the game. As of Jan 1, 2008, the Sniper rifle can be zoomed in/out with the right-mouse button, and can be charged for full effect. A full charge is enough to instantly kill an opponent! Its chief drawback is a slow rate of fire. It's mainly effective at long ranges but if you are skillful you can even take enemies down even at close range. By right-clicking, the Rifleman can pan his view beyond the normal limits of other classes and shoot targets at an extreme range! Firing his rifle shows a team-colored beam, however, that can give away his location.

The Infiltrator

The Infiltrator is a very sneaky unit, he can cloak, come up behind you, and shoot you! You can cloak and uncloak with the right mouse button. He has a pistol with good power and range but can only shoot while uncloaked. As of Jan 1 2008, clicking the left-mouse button while cloaked will allow you to backstab an opponent, killing them in one strike. If the infiltrator is behind an opponent, the opponent does not see him.

Секретный Класс

При выборе класса надо нажать Q для выбора секретного класса. На самом деле это Quote (Красные) и Curly Brace (Синие), оба персонажа из Cave Story, и используют пузыромет, из этой же игры.

Team Fortress 2 Gang Garrison 2 Class Differences Scout The Runner The Runner has only 100 health while the Scout has 125. The 2D environment makes dodging harder but makes double jumping and shortcuts easier. The Runner's Scattergun has 6 ammo like the Scout. Soldier The Rocket Man The Rocket Man has only 170 health while the Soldier has 200. The 2D environment makes it harder to hit foes if your teammates are blocking your path. Rocket jumping is easier to do as The Rocket Man. Rockets can pass through team mates, but lose their damage and knockback. A new kind of ammo exists allowing the rocket man to release 4 rockets, but requires a 'reload' afterwards. This cuts down on rocket spamming. Pyro The Firebug The Firebug's flamethrower has a gas-like ammo while the Pyro's flamethrower has 200. Demoman The Detonator It is harder to set traps as The Detonator as the foe has better view of the map. The 2D environment makes it harder for foes to dodge stickies. The Detonator's sticky launcher has 8 ammo like the Demoman. Heavy The Overweight The 2D environment makes it harder to go around The Overweight. He also has only 200 health while the Heavy has 300. The Overweight's minigun have a gas-like ammo while Heavy's minigun has 200 ammo. Engineer The Constructor The 2D environment makes it harder to go around The Constructor's 'autogun'. The Constructor automatically gains metal, but can only make a level 1 autogun and no other buildings. He is also unable to repair the autogun. The Constructor's autogun costs 100 nuts and bolts while the Engineer's sentry costs 130 metal. The Constructor's shotgun has 8 ammo while the Engineer's shotgun has 6 ammo. Sniper The Rifleman The 2D environment makes it harder to hit foes if your teammates are blocking your path. The sniping scope gives The Rifleman better view of the map. The Rifleman can not do headshots. But like the Sniper, the Rifleman can charge his shots Medic The Healer The Healer's medigun does not curve around corners. He is also unable to overheal his allies. The Healer's medigun has 40 syringes like the Medic's syringe gun. Spy The Infiltrator The Infiltrator's cloak does not power down. His knife is slower, but is always a instant kill even if it is not a backstab. The Infiltrator's revolver has 6 ammo like the Spy.
