Red Planet Chemicals at Swiftwater manufacutures DDT, which drew much attention as a persistent enviromental toxin in 1968. It was recognized as accumulating in fresh water rivers and lakes, concentrating in fish eaten by eagles, causing the eagle eggs to fail.
