新增于Gun Mettle更新，涂装武器拥有自己独特的皮肤，磨损度和稀有级，也可能具有奇异或稀有效果。
涂装品质是用于完成合同或开启武器箱获得的武器。 这种品质具有 6 种稀有度：Civilian, Freelance, Mercenary, Commando, Assassin，和Elite。同时也有磨损度的区别，依序为崭新出厂（Factory-New）,略有磨损（Minimal Wear）,久经沙场（Field-Tested）,破损不堪（Well-Worn）,和战痕累累（Battle-Scarred）。 当装备这种品质的武器时，玩家可以按下检视键（默认按键: F）来进行对武器多角度的观察，但对游戏性没有影响。
涂装武器可能具有奇异品质，有小几率为稀有, 更小几率同时具备 2 种品质。奇异品质在武器边增加了计数器，用于记录杀敌数，或是医疗枪的überCharges数。稀有品质则增加了粒子效果，一般加在武器枪口上。
当鼠标划过涂装品质的武器，窗口中会展示武器的模型，它的细节内容以及它所在的收藏品中。
涂装和磨损不会在运行dxlevel -80或dxlevel -81下的游戏中出现。相反，它们只会展现出普通的外观。同时在这种DirectX级下，涂装武器的描述也会改变，增加了额外一行内容：“你正在运行DirectX 8模式，涂装武器将不相容并只显示默认皮肤。”在曼恩商店中，购买Gun Mettle通行证时也会有类似的警告。
