Anybody can feel free to spruce up the page with the Update Page Text, Map Images, and Unusual effects. I would do it, but I have a general lack of experience, so ill leave it to someone who can take up the task. have fun. http://woh.mods.tf/

Notability?

We haven't done a fan update page in years. Should we even work on this one? --Dr. Scaphandre (talk) 21:10, 21 October 2015 (PDT)

This is an unofficial fan update. Unless it even has any sort of popularity/notability, its more less advertisement of their works than anything. I'd say delete. Ashes (talk) 21:33, 21 October 2015 (PDT)
Same thing happened here: User:DC64/Invasion_Update. We can just move it, right? — The preceding assigned comment was added by Tark {Finish Him!Contribs} 07:22, 22 October 2015 (PDT)
What's the point of having the fan updates page if a new one is just gonna get deleted? I could imagine a lot of work went into making the page and merc models. I'm not saying you need to work on it, but just leave it for whomever may want to. And apart from the fact that Fancy vs Nasty came out over the course of 4 days, it's also pretty much an "advertisement" for their items. StaticKyrbi (talk) 22:25, 23 October 2015 (PDT)
Well, I'm not saying this is bad or something. But Fancy was mentioned on blog, that's why is little more relevant. Also, sign tour post using 4 tildes. — The preceding assigned comment was added by Tark {Finish Him!Contribs} 18:32, 22 October 2015 (PDT)
The problem is the wiki's policies are iffy when it comes to unofficial content. It has to be notable enough to warrant an article. Also bare in mind it's been years since the last time we made an article on a fan update. I think the last one was Night of the Living Update.
You also brought up another problem with unofficial content articles: They're free advertisement. That's why custom content articles are a blurred line. --Dr. Scaphandre (talk) 20:02, 22 October 2015 (PDT)
The current fan updates that we have on the wiki have been noticed by Valve themselves and actually either made a blog post on it or an announcement. So unless it gets any sort of notice by Valve themselves, It's not notable. Ashes (talk) 20:56, 22 October 2015 (PDT)
Well alright guys, you can choose to do with it what you will, i just wanted to contribute to the wiki somehow (´∀`). Sorry about not signing my previous comment, lack of experience. StaticKyrbi (talk) 22:25, 23 October 2015 (PDT)
