Freeze Tag is a TF2 gameplay modification based around the concept of the children's game freeze tag. It is incorporated alongside regular Game modes such as Control Point and Payload.
Role
In the Freeze Tag game mode, you attempt to complete the objective of the map you are on (be it pushing the cart or capturing points) while also using the freezing-in-place mechanic of the original game. When you die in this game mode, you are frozen in place where you died. If a team member comes to resuscitate you, you will begin to unfreeze while they can stand within a perimeter of you. Once the unfreezing is complete, you can return to normal gameplay. If nobody rescues you, you will be sent back to your respawn.
