Valve is a game development studio and software distribution company, famous for developing such franchises as Template:W, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, and Portal. It was founded by Gabe Newell and Mike Harrington in 1996. The company is based in Bellevue, Washington.
Valve's First ever game was Half Life. Half Life was a very popular game that won a lot of rewards. Then Valve Made one of the most ground breaking games of all time Half Life 2 which made Valve extremely popular and changed gaming forever.
One of the most popular mods for Half Life was Counter Strike, a more realistic online FPS for PC. Counter Strike was so famous that valve wanted to make a stand alone game with then.
