Template:Ambox

What's up with that black cell in the contents area? It looks really wonky. -Shine () 03:22, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about that, it should be fixed soon. seb26 (talk) 05:46, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
One other thing, if I give you a list of image redirects can you have your bot fix them? -Shine () 06:41, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah sure :) seb26 (talk) 06:42, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

=3 -Shine () 07:42, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Can it delete them when its done too? -Shine () 07:44, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Ho damn. I'll have them done soon :p I can't delete them though, because my bot doesn't have moderator rights (and I don't really think I should do it on my main account, either). Maybe talk to Pilk or Smashman when I've finished, they could probably handle it better. seb26 (talk) 08:03, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
A bot always receives their corresponding user's rights. Might wanna bug Smash about that as I image it'd be easier to do the editing and deleting at the same time. -Shine () 08:10, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Not always true, Shine. Only bots that need moderator rights get them, regardless of their owner's rights. I just promoted SebBOT so you can carry this out. -- Pilk (talk) 08:33, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Boy, that Shine guy, what an idiot. -Shine () 08:37, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Well actually I'm not too sure this is something AWB can handle. I'd imagine it would work fine if there was a small amount of redirect pages, and a tonne of links to these pages (with some manual labour of course), but when it's the reverse... I reckon I could find a way to filter through the list and select the ones without image links and delete them, however. seb26 (talk) 08:45, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

I believe I already got rid of most of that type. -Shine () 08:48, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

You're famous

We think you're awesome. :D -- Pilk (talk) 14:50, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Yes we do. -- Smashman... (ts) 14:56, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
He had your name on the tip of his tongue though. Had to remind him :O -- Vi3trice (talk) 15:00, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Lies, I knew his name. Just didn't say it. -- Smashman... (ts) 15:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
You said my name without giving it any thoughts D: -- Vi3trice (talk) 15:20, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
What about me. -- Nineaxis Duck Gib.png 15:35, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
What about you Nine? -- Smashman... (ts) 15:46, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Lucky you Seb. D: And congrats Smash :3 — Wind 16:11, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Lol! Thanks for the mention Smash :) seb26 (talk) 06:28, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

You're blue, too

Hooray. Let's have a cat party. -- En Ex (talk) 10:24, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

._.

33x4 is totally 100, wtf are you talking about? -Shine () 11:47, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey, how do I get rid of the stupid green blue red axis thing in HLMV? seb26 (talk) 11:51, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Go into the Attachments tab, and in the Attachment box select none. -Shine () 11:53, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Template:Lang

Looks handy. Perhaps you could fix the edit notices too? :3 Why didn't work on Template:Days ago? -- Smashman... (ts) 23:56, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

It was clashing with the math expression. It appears to work on most other pages, though. seb26 (talk) 23:59, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Was it clashing with the math expression on the pages it is transcluded on? -- Pilk (talk) 00:00, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I think so, it didn't show an error but it just failed to display (days ago) on the Main Page. I didn't check Template:Latest updates. I think I'll try again, but with {{!}}. seb26 (talk) 00:04, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
That'll likely be the problem. You'll have to replace each | with a {{!}} in Template:Lang. Find and replace anyone? -- Smashman... (ts) 00:11, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Well I'll be damned. It worked. Or at least I didn't see any problems as of now. -- Vi3trice (talk) 00:12, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
But with no thanks to {{!}} :) It's really only handy for tables, etc. It doesn't seem to like being used with templates. seb26 (talk) 00:13, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Smashman we've been through this, {{!}} only works for tables because they are parsed last. -- Pilk (talk) 00:15, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

TF2wiki / Wikiped links

You. YES YOU. WindBOT is shaping up nicely. Right now it only does word/semantic filters though, not link filters. So I'd like to add that in, but to make sure the implementation is not too restrictive, I'd like to know what exactly needs to be done with it. I know about the tf2wiki and wikipedia links, but could you list all the "special cases" that need to be handled? For example, Smash wanted to add Media: in front of media links to tf2wiki files; another example would be non-english wikipedia links, is there a way to do those without using the full URL? — Wind 17:31, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

It can handle multiple ones on a single line right? Because that's where my regex fucked up, it kept swallowing up 5 or 6 links in one line and I had to skip the bulk of my list. Media: sounds good too, but I've noticed that some of the files on there have different names or were deleted, so would there be any way the bot could identify those and put them in a list somewhere? Also, you can switch languages in the wikipedia interwiki link, like wikipedia:ru:Франция. seb26 (talk) 22:06, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Alright. Do you have an example of a page with multiple links on one line, so that I can test it there? — Wind 23:07, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
It's common on the cultural references pages (for example [1]). seb26 (talk) 23:10, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Some user javascript?

Hey, I noticed you had some custom javascript previously, and was wondering if you knew how to add a notice to every page using using Javascript. I just want to use User:Smashman/valve.js to have a large note at top of the page, above the title saying some stuff, so that it gets my attention every time. Let me know if you can. It doesn't have to be Javascript, I just thought that sounded like the most likely method. Thanks. -- Smashman... (ts) 23:42, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Well it's possible, but I can't find a script that can do it, and I don't know how to make one either. I usually just bookmark certain pages and stick them on the bookmarks bar :3 seb26 (talk) 00:03, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I want to make a personal todo list, as I can't effectively edit on my phone. :/ So anything I see on here I can add to a page, User:Smashman/todo for example and then I have a message, similar to the you have new messages box that tells me I have todos, then I can strike things out as I go and if everything is struck out, then the message goes away. Anyone skilled with Javascript? Haha. Also, Seb could you add this to MediaWiki:Valve.js. Looks handy, thanks. -- Smashman... (ts) 00:48, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
The discussion page for that script says it's buggy, and that was in 2006. And Vi3trice just put it in and it doesn't seem to work :\ As for your todo list thing, I have an idea. seb26 (talk) 01:06, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
An idea? Oh goody. Do tell. -- Smashman... (ts) 01:18, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah I got nothing. Sorry :( seb26 (talk) 01:43, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
