Team Fortress 2 オフィシャルサウンドトラックは Valve の Mike Morasky ディレクターにより制作され、Valve Studio Orchestra によって演奏されたTemplate:Wアルバムである。2011 年 10 月 13 日の時点で、サウンドトラックには 15 のオリジナル楽曲が含まれており、その多くは Meet the Team シリーズのビデオに使われたものである。トラック 1 から 3 までの楽曲については、Template:Wにも含まれている。

未公開の楽曲

Meet the Team シリーズやその他のビデオで使用された楽曲の中には、公式には公開されていない楽曲がいくつか存在します。"Magnum Force" (邦題: ダーティハリー2) へのオマージュである Meet the Sniper、TF2 公式 Web サイト上で視聴できるViaduct の制作風景紹介動画に使用されている "Rocket Jump Waltz" の別バージョン、Illustrative Rendering in Team Fortress 2 の動画で使用されている "Playing With Danger" の別バージョン、そして Engineer アップデート予告動画 に使用されている "Faster Than a Speeding Bullet" のドラムによく似た短い楽曲です。

曲調

• 楽曲は基本的にキー E のブルース (standard hex, E-G-A-A#-B-D) で、トランペットの和音の多くはトライトーン (tritones) である。"Team Fortress 2 (Main Theme)" と "Playing with Danger" については旋律の一部とその組み立て方が異なるだけで、曲の本質的には同じものである。しかし、"Playing with Danger" におけるピアノ部分 (金管楽器も同じ旋律を演奏する) は長二度 (major second) で演奏されている。バスラインはこの真下を演奏し、結果的にピアノが不協和音になっている。

以下は "Team Fortress 2 (Main Theme)" のリードギターや "Duty Calls" のバスピアノなどに使われている "dirge" (哀愁) の旋律である。
