A bird seen on Dustbowl
Birds appear in 21 selected maps of Team Fortress 2. There are 78 birds in total which explode when the player shoots or walks over them. A list of locations for the birds can be found here

Trivia
- The birds seem to have an odd connection to the Medic. For instance, the pictures in the teaser Medic picture and the dove on the "Ubi Concordia, Ibi Victoria" achievement [1].
- Amusingly, the birds explode when shot, hit, or touched by a player. The explosion does no damage and has no knockback. Exploded birds will re-appear at the start of a new round.
- Birds can also be seen on one of the monitors behind the Administrator in Meet the Director comics. [2]
- There is a bird near the middle point in cp_well which cannot be killed since it was placed inside of a clipping brush.
