Command Line

You can recreate the effect of this unlock with console commands. Should we mention that (and the commands themselves)? --CruelCow 16:39, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Nah. We don't want to detract from purchases. Also, this is available for 'jump' maps on servers that won't have cheats on.  – Smashman (talk) 16:41, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
What? I absolutely think we should. Wikis should push towards full disclosure. ~G-Mang (T|C) 22:05, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
It's still a droppable/craftable item though.Wizrdwarts21 04:01, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Detracting from purchases or not, what G-Mang
said was right...we're supposed to be throwing out little trivia tidbits like that, as far as I know. This wiki brightens my day with the little notes like that. --Fragment of Nothing 01:29, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
It's not as good as it sounds, it's just an sv_cheats 1 command. Can't be used outside a personal server, if the Wiki started reporting those, it would bloat almost every article. --Zootch 22:26, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
How so? I wouldn't mind the Kritzkrieg article mentioning that its effect can be made with the cheat addcond 11. It's a nice piece of information to know (and we have far, far less useful and interesting information on many articles). Wouldn't it be adding at most 1 or 2 pieces of trivia to any given weapon article? ~G-Mang (T|C) a 22:26, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

just add it guys. just say "valve decided to add this weapon so you wouldnt have to go into the command line" or w/e. make it sound nice the way you do =) just mention it.Gatsby2367 08:32, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

A possible change to the video on article?

Currently it contains some "rougher" language. Considering this is supposed to be a factual and "professional" high-standards wiki, It'd be for the best if we could find a different video. XenoXilus 22:15, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Reflection

What happens to rockets launched from this and reflected by a pyro?--Zootch 17:58, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

They do no damage, I imagine --Firestorm 17:58, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Actually, though I haven't tested what happens when they're reflected back at the user, I do know the pyro can injure himself with reflected Rocket Jumper rockets. Dugtrio17 20:31, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Through testing between a Pyro and a Soldier equipped with the Rocket Jumper, our findings show that the rocket does no damage regardless if it is reflected or not. --ObbiObbi 22:54, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Craftability

Can we get a confirmation on this being craftable or not with Soldier token + Primary token + scrap metal? I haven't added it to Allweapons Nav yet because I don't know. ~G-Mang (T|C) 22:07, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, people on the SPUF are saying they've crafted it on accident trying to get Black Box, so I'm gonna go ahead and add it. ~G-Mang (T|C) 23:59, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Goomba Stomp

If you play on a server that support goomba stomping this rocket launcher is very deadly since you can hop around and kill people. should this be noticed on the page? Rocketlawnchair 22:16, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Generally we try not to direct players to plugins unless Valve acknowledge them first. Besides, I'm still holding out for goomba stomping being a permanent ability for the gunboats ;)--Focusknock 07:46, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Video of the Equalizer Bug when the Rocket Jumper is equipped

Right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE7genr-kB0 (nanosheep_inc) 01:01, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Potential to annoy though...

Rush to frontline, drop on the cp, use equaliser taunt. Multi-kill, and you're still alive. Also, I've had two already who have called for a kritz, then just laughed as they spammed krit blanks >:( Michael 12:21, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Rocket Jumper and Juggling

Is it possible to juggle an enemy with the RJer? Or, even though it deals no damage, does it maintain its knockback?--The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mistah Phoenix (talk) • contribs) 05:30, 6 October 2010

Since knockback is often proportional to damage radius, I doubt it. Needs to be tested though, just to make sure.--Focusknock 07:46, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
According to the latest modification in the page, it seems it keeps its knockback. Man, this weapon is USEFUL. Mistah Phoenix 02:12, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Drops?

Does this drop? I'm currently going through all the weapons and updating their "Availability" section. I.E. Unlock, Drop, Craft, Uncrate, Purchase. I'm wondering whether this should be "Craft, Purchase", or "Drop, Craft, Purchase". Rebmcr 12:03, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it hasn't dropped. There have been no reports on SPUF so far. XenoXilus 22:13, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, since it has been over a month since the release of the weapon, and no confirmed drops have been shown, I edited the begining paragraph and added a line stating it can only be crafted or purchased.Jeff AndonutsJEFF used Bottle Rocket! 02:24, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

What damage?

I've seen a trivia that mentions that if it shoots a critical rocket, it will do slight damage. To begin with, I don't know what damage does that apply to. But after testing that out with bots, there is STILL no damage on self and bots. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or was someone just being a goofball and just added there? (For the curious, Taedium added that trivia) AbeX300 03:27, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

I deleted it once already, it's completely false. Only damage caused is by a rocket jumping pyro. --Subtlefuge 16:16, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Huh. I never knew it actually does damage to a Pyro rocket-jumping. But thanks, I wasn't sure if I was doing it wrong or if it was false. AbeX300 16:39, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Crock Block Achievement Activation?

If a Heavy survives a critical rocket fired by Rocket Jumper, does the player get this achievement?

Tradability

  • If successfully crafted (not purchased), will it be fully tradable? If so, then shouldn't it be noted? User:Sonic Nova:Sonic Nova 15:44, 15 November 2010
