Meat Vs. Match

Hey there,

Please refrain from creating the "Meat vs. Match" page and referencing it as it is a unofficial update and was never noted by Valve as that update. I will be undoing and deleting the page. If you insist on having the Meat vs Match page, please keep it on your user sub page. The Wiki is only documenting official information from Valve. Ashes (talk) 09:00, 26 October 2016 (PDT)

Additional note: The update even though referred to as "Meat vs. Match" it's covered on the Official update Meet your Match Update as it's a Day 2 update. Any coverage of it should be under there and not a seperate page. Ashes (talk) 09:06, 26 October 2016 (PDT)

Meat Vs. Match

Time Period

Meat Vs. Match was added on the second day of the Meet Your Match update. Meat Vs. Match ran from July 8, 2016 to August 14, 2016. Results were announced on August 15, 2016.

Gameplay

Players would choose either to "vote" for Heavy or Pyro. After choosing a side, players were not allowed to switch.

By playing either Competitive Mode or Casual Mode, the points that the player earned would count as a "vote" to the side the player choose. Whoever’s side had the most "votes" (shown as a percentage on the main menu overlay) at the end of the update, that class would get the next weapons update.

Results

Pyro won 56% to 44% (Heavy). When the Pyro was announced as the winner, a special picture replaced the original picture . This picture showed the Pyro giving the peace sign with both hands, and the Heavy in "baby angel" form with a "lollipop" (Lollichop) in his mouth.

Pyro Update

TBA (as of 10/26/16)
