L'histoire de Team Fortress 2 est raconté sous d’innombrable façon, des vidéos À la rencontre de l'équipe, aux biographies et cartes à échanger, tout en passant par les comics.

Mise à jour WAR!
Dans les jours précédent la mise à jour WAR!, 4 comics différent sortirent. Les comics ont une histoire continue expliquant la guerre entre le Soldier et le Demoman.
- The Administrator - Une salle de contrôle révèle qu'une alliance a été faite.
- Saxton Hale - Un jour dans la vie du président Mann Co. Saxton Hale! Watch as he beats up hippies!
- Demoman - En visitant sa famille, Le Demoman se voit proposer une offre qu'il ne peut refuser.
- Soldier - Pendant que l'administratrice met son plan en exécution, Le Soldier découvre qu'il a été trahit.
Une fois la mise à jour sorti, les 4 comics pouvaient se réunir en un seul formant une histoire complète.
