"Failed to find "$color2", terminating"

I'm trying to automate a paint image for a workshop image. I have the model rotated how I want with the model viewer open, as well as photoshop document open to my monitor and full screen hlmv resolution (1600x900). But when I use the automateCaptureImages.ahk with autohotkey, I get an error saying "Failed to find "$color2", terminating". I've checked the vmt TF2 creates when verifying workshop items and it has "$color2" "{value}" in it. Changing the vmt color value manually has it change in hlmv as it should. Is there another step I'm missing?
