The Frag Grenade, or Fragmentation Grenade, was to be a grenade weapon in Team Fortress 2. Its function was likely to have been the same as in Team Fortress Classic, where it was the default 'regular' grenade for the classes and would simply create a small explosion akin to a Grenade Launcher grenade, possessing no special abilities in particular. The Soldier carries two frag grenades on his belt which may have initially been used, but no longer serve any gameplay purpose aside from having been now repurposed for his Kamikaze kill taunt.
