Hello, MrFunreal!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User MrFunreal to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:MrFunreal/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Your contributions

When contributing to articles, please make sure that the content is official before contributing it. This especially applies to videos, since people can easily 'farm' views by posting their personal content to an official wiki. A similar rule applies to images -- Gifs can be uploaded to the wiki, but consider how much they add versus a static image or an english description. Please refrain from using imgur links. Your painted variants for Trickster's Turnout Gear

Hello and welcome to the shiny and colorful image uploading part of the wiki!

Please keep the following things in mind:

  • Always add the template {{subst:pid}} to painted variants uploads. It adds licensing and category for those ones.
  • In painted variants we don't show the body of the class as a whole, only the parts that are necessary. In this case, the head doesn't need to be there, just adhere to the item infobox images.
  • On this you can check for (and use!) hlmv/tfmv rotations if they exist, if not, please add your rotation after uploading painted variants.
  • Please try to always use the best angle and lighting to present the item, most of details should be visible, the direct view from the front is not always the best (you might want to adhere to the infobox image).

That's it! If you've got more questions, feel free to ask me! Have fun uploading! :) — shots fired by: Nikno{Talk|Contribs} 13:45, 29 April 2016 (PDT)

Oh, i didn't know that it required a special angle of view.
I shall keep that in mind next time. Should i just redo all the images?
MrFunreal (talk) 13:52, 29 April 2016 (PDT)

They're not really bad, but you can redo them if you want to. In that case, please remove head and hands ;) — shots fired by: Nikno{Talk|Contribs} 13:57, 29 April 2016 (PDT)
I think i'll redo them. Because i only now found out that there are colored shoulderpads, plus i already moved the pyro around in HLMV, so i can't acces the Rot and Trans values in regedit anymore. Give me one hour and i should have better images. MrFunreal (talk) 14:10, 29 April 2016 (PDT)
