Bitcoin spam question

If my general assumption is correct, and it will continue in "waves", and the numbers are for real, we have at least 60 more spam users with it. I wondered if the wiki admins can do something about it, or if i should(or could) ask valve if they cant add a general blacklist for the word bitcoin because it's not a common word. The wall of shame was originally made to poke fun (of the lighthearted kind) at cringingly bad trivia edits. It is not meant to degrade or humiliate any editors, but rather to serve as a remainder of what poor trivia edits look like (as deemed by the trivia guidelines). I do agree that its lost its meaning a little bit, with users adding any bad edit, but I still do think it's nothing more than lighthearted fun rather than a name and shame. —Moussekateer·talk 17:24, 21 April 2012 (PDT)

Doomsday incorrectly linked on front page

On the front page of the wiki listed under 'The Pyromania Feed', besides 'Day 1', the Doomsday title is displayed as Template:Dictionary/common strings/doomsday and it links to http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Template:Dictionary/common_strings/doomsday rather than http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Doomsday.

Couldn't change it myself so I thought you would be able to.

Hello, it's ~WWW~. I have been watching the recent changes page for a long time. I found that you have blocked a lot of accounts which was spamming.
I just blocked two accounts 30 mins ago, is this kind of destructive acts happen all the time? The only thing we can do is blocked them when spamming happens? I think I need to hear more info about this from you because you blocked them almost everyday. Heya. Yea it happens every day, with some days much worse than others. We can't really do anything about it, even if Valve installed extensions to keep them away some will still find a way through. I have just noticed a hidden link on the TF2 blog. It is the blood spatter on the TF2 Free to Play banner. Edit time paradox/error (?)

Hello again,Moussekateer. Recently I have encounter some problems about edits, I don't know what is the reason causing that. Please have a look of my edits record, you can see that I updated the Mann vs. Machine/zh-hant at the 02:53 (Server time). Problem is, I just edit it few minutes ago, and the time would be around 09:50. It has a big gap between the edit time and the real edit time. This phenomenon had happened on me many times, causing me worried about that my edits were not successfully saved, because I cannot see my edits on the Recent changes page. I have one partner who had the same problem, so do you have any idea about this...edit time error? Maybe the server is bugged? 03:21 10:21, 15 August 2012 (PDT) ‎

Yea we're aware of this but not quite sure what the issue is. It seems the server time is jumping around a lot for some reason. Alright, but I think we should figure out how to solve this quickly. Not just the time gap, sometimes I can't even see the newest version of a page (I couldn't even see my message to you after I submitted). I am not sure if others had this kind of symptom. At this special and certain time (The MvM Update), the error just came out. I personally think this is not just a coincidence. Remember there's a guy called DennoCoil, who kept evading our blocks? In my opinion, if he can evaded the ban, it's not a surprise if he (or other guys who didn't like the Wiki) can did something really bad to paralyze the Wiki's edit works. I am not saying that guy is doing this, but maybe the error is not just having a bug. Maybe the server is hacked or something...
I'm not good at computer programing or server managing, so I just guess what has happened, could be inaccurate. Hope you admins can find out the problem soon, and thanks for replying :) 04:42, 15 August 2012 (PDT) (Actual: 11:43)

And one more thing...

There's another thing I forgot to mention. I know that you recently changed the font of {{backpack item}}, putting the font "TF2 Secondary" into descryptions and names. However, the Chinese does not have this kind of font (TF2 Build, TF2 Secondary...etc). So, if the words in {{backpack item}} change, the Chinese words won't become the proper words, instead, the words will become boldface, and it's a bit harder to read them. You can see Balloonicorn/zh-hant for example.

The problem on Triad items

Hello, It seems that the items released in Triad Update had more...redundant space than the other items (not only in zh-hant but also en version). This phenomenon causes the form inconsistent.

Hi, recently I checked the Hats/zh-hant and found out that all the templates around Update history are broken. Most of them became broken links such as Patch name or Item link. I try to delete the broken part, but next day more of them swarmed out. Do you know how to solve the problems?

Another part is my absence in the IRC. I do not know if all Mods and admins have to actively join the channel and discuss something or not. Due to many busy works at my side, I usually forget or too tired to open the Internet, not to mention opening the IRC. I am not sure that the inactivity to the IRC will make some people feel troublesome or not. Therefore, I think I have to take some advice about this from you, too. From what I can see it seems that page has reached the limit of included templates. This is because of the large number of templates used in the hat table and the 'Item link' templates scattered everywhere. This problem is beginning to creep into a lot of pages, we may soon need to look into rewriting some of these templates. In the mean time, if you want to fix that page I would suggest removing some unnecessary templates. Regarding the IRC channel, your presence is encouraged but not entirely required. Spammers

Hello, recently the spammers seem to be "smarter" than before. I think they will write some introducing which "looks like" something about TF2 community, pretend to be one of the normal editors, then place their websites below the words to avoid deleting and blocking. Here's an example I found : User:PabloVMV. Actually, I don't know whether this kind of user page should be considered spammer or not. Heya. This is indeed a spammer. You'll notice their sentences are very vague, and not TF2 specific, because they paste this text into all wikis they come across. The link is suspicious looking too. 3D viewer

Hi there. For your first request WindBOT currently has a filter that converts W templates to w: interwiki links. I could change it to always add the language parameter, but I'm not sure if that's always a good idea. As for your second request I can do a one time run through all the da articles to fix this. I wrote up a something to be added to the Current Events template and posted it on LordKelvin's talk page 3 days ago. MvM Robot Medic Bug?

I have a question about a bug I observed in Big Rock in MvM. The bug is that an uber medic will heal a sentry buster when its healing buddy is gone. Thus making the buster much harder to kill. So I was wondering if I should include this in the Robot Medic or Sentry Buster page? Studdering Android (talk) 19:15, 4 August 2013 (PDT)

From what I gathered robot medics are made to heal a primary target but once that target gets destroyed it looks for a new pocket. When a medic is searching for a new buddy it seems to ignore support classes such as snipers, spies, and engineers (unless predetermined). But what I noticed is a medic retreating after its buddy was gone and healed a sentry buster and even ubered when it was arming itself.Studdering Android (talk) 11:24, 5 August 2013 (PDT)

Recompiled 3D Models

Upload warnings: size too large

I've run into some trouble uploading voicelines. Sf13_mannbros_argue21.wav is 2.18MB, but the server is only configured to upload up to 2 MB. I've sorted the files by size and I think that this is the only one that exceeds the limit of 2MB. Can you circumvent this restriction?

Just as a heads up, I've finished (hopefully) uploading the new class voicelines and I'm working my way through the Mann Brothers voicelines. I expect to be able to finish up the transcripts tonight. 15:01, 30 October 2013 (PDT)

Files of the MIME type "application/x-php" are not allowed to be uploaded.

I would have been more than happy to provide use of my images for the wiki, had I been asked prior to this whole mess, and I would also have been happy to add the new robots in as well from the Two Cities Update, since I need to update my guide, but for the love of Nightmare, I again expected a lot more knowledge in advance. If Cobalt really did make that himself, then fine, fair play, but the rest are definitely mine, without a shadow of a doubt. If the wiki wants pictures, I can provide mine as placeholders until someone has the time to do better, but I want goddamn informing beforehand. I only noticed this when I saw the Pyro Pusher was critboosed. Something only I ever make sure of in my pictures (Is the robot critboosted in the template file? If yes, critboost the robot, before taking a picture). Although you can argue I was "too confrontational" it has not been a wonderful weekend, and seeing my content used without any affiliation to me was more than the last straw, which is why I kicked off on Cobalt. At the end of the day, I can happily provide pictures of all robots for now, but I expect to at least be aware that my work is being put up somewhere like this and indicating that I am the base creator of the mentioned graphic. As I said, you were not being intentionally exploited. Someone who was unfamiliar with Wiki policy was taking your images and uploading them to the Wiki without our knowledge of them being from your guide, and I have already warned that user about such behavior as a result of you bringing this to our attention. I'd like to also point out that those images are very low-resolution to begin with, which makes them unfitting for the Wiki.

...they weren't made to be pretty, they were made to give viewers some form of identification in the field. I'm no artist, but sweet Nightmare I at least know what things are meant to look like. I wasn't going for resolution, I was going for accuracy, a perfect match to the life-sized version you'd meet in-game...and for the record, Cobalt claiming it to be his work did not help at all, making it seem like he was taking responsibility for what had been taken and claiming the hijacked pictures to be his own.
