The Team Fortress Wiki's Weekly Lobby is a weekly event in which members of the Wiki are invited to take place in casual competitive matches via tf2lobby. The intention of the Weekly Lobby is to introduce players to Competitive play in a casual low-tier environment, hopefully introducing fresh blood in to the Competitive community as a result.

The event is ran every Saturday, swapping between 6v6 and Highlander each week on pre-determined maps; these run Wiki-vs-Pub or Wiki-vs-Wiki, depending upon the amount of attendees. Attendees are required to sign themselves up for whichever class they wish to play at least a day prior to the event to be guaranteed a place on the "Wiki" team (if vs pub), class selections are regarded as first-come first-serve, players can list. There is currently only a European variant of the event.

Signups

A week prior to the event, at the closing of the last event, a new section will be added to the talk page where users can sign up as an attendee to the upcoming event. Users can only sign up to 1 class per event.

Rules

Weapon restrictions

Weapons introduced into the game are banned from use until they have been in the game for 1 week, this is to allow all attendees time to gather any new weapons they wish to use.

Demo recordings

We advise, however do not require, attendees record a demo of their performance within a match as this is required practice within Competitive leagues.

Match

The scheduled time alongside an event is the time in which the tf2lobby for the event will be opened. Using tf2lobby, there is control as for when a match will begin; an event will be cancelled if it does not start 1 hour after the scheduled event-start.

Voice communication

All attendees are required to utilize Mumble for team-communication. If a user does not wish to or cannot partake in voice communication, they are still required to use Mumble to listen in to their team's voice communication.

Mumble must be configured in to Push-to-talk mode. See a guide here.
