It looks like this hat is not available at the time, because no one has it... Can someone confirm it can be unboxed? Natha 11:24, 17 December 2011 (PST)

You get it via crafting coal (or random gifts apparently), person I sold some to got it that way PlusEighteen 02:32, 29 December 2011 (PST)

Ebenezer Scrooge

I do believe that this hat is the hat that Ebenezer Scrooge wears in the "Christmas Carol" and i was wondering if we should add it to the trivia because of this hats name. But it may be to obvious... so i don't know. --CaptainSneaky 13:17, 16 December 2011 (PST)

It's so obvious that it's been put in the first paragraph, not the trivia section. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 14:46, 16 December 2011 (PST)

After a talk with the creator, This hat wasn't meant to look like it at all, I suggest to remove it Atlas 12:29, 28 December 2011 (PST)

The following : "The Ebenezer was originally known as the "Culturally Indifferent Hat of Winter Joy" when it was contributed to the Steam Workshop, but the name was changed by Valve before implementation into the game. "

Is currently located in the first paragraph, but I think it should be moved to the trivia section as it isn't a description of the hat. As this page currently doesn't have a trivia section implemented, it would be beneficial to start one.

Information on the hat's original name is always in the first section, not trivia. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 04:43, 20 December 2011 (PST)

The description of this hat and the Holiday Headcase mention the creators, no other item in the update, as well as no other contributed items have done this. Anyone have any reason why? Also, despite these being community created, why weren't they updated to be crafted and bought? Citizen_Lame 12:38, 24 December 2011 (PST)

The Holiday Headcase is similar in this respect. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 16:28, 24 December 2011 (PST)
Someone over at B.M.O.C discussion says these hats are available through the Steam Gift Pile holiday achievements which is quite a sensible thought, i think, and he/she also has potential proof. I guess the unique nature of obtaining these hats Valve gave the go ahead for the creators to put their name down in TF2 history? I don't know, I guess we could ask them! Bug? or intentional?

The hat does not fall of your character on death. Bug? or intentional? User BC sigimage.png****BCtalk 18:23, 29 December 2011 (PST)

Drop type is set to none in items_game. Intentional. User RagnarHomsar Userlink.png RagnarHomsar 18:25, 29 December 2011 (PST)
It's probably because the snow on the rim would look a bit odd if the hat was lying upside down. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 18:45, 29 December 2011 (PST)
It's intentional, it has to be put into the Schema that way. Balladofwindfishes 18:49, 29 December 2011 (PST)
The sniper doesn't grab this hat on taunt with the melee weapon either. WouterLindeboom 08:52, 2 January 2012 (PST)
Not grabbing the hat is a bug; the item creator had the choice of attaching it to one of two bones, each with their own consequences. In this case, the creator chose the bone which doesn't allow for the Sniper to grab the hat. i-ghost 08:55, 2 January 2012 (PST)
Okay. Added it to the bugs section. WouterLindeboom 09:36, 2 January 2012 (PST)
I dont think its a bug. It would look weird with snow. Cnnoi33 09:39, 2 January 2012 (PST)
True. But it still looks stupid when he fails to grab his hat. WouterLindeboom 09:41, 2 January 2012 (PST)
Well upside down snow looks stupid too. Cnnoi33 09:44, 2 January 2012 (PST)
I know, but he shouldn't try to grab his hat and fail. I think he grabs his glasses now, not sure though. WouterLindeboom 09:46, 2 January 2012 (PST)
