The Whiskered Gentleman is a community-created cosmetic item for the Pyro. It is a monocle, mustache, and goatee that are taped onto the Pyro's mask.

May 20, 2010 Patch (Second Community Contribution Update)
- The Whiskered Gentleman was added to the game.
- The Whiskered Gentleman was changed from a hat into a miscellaneous item in order to suit combinations with hats.
September 30, 2010 Patch (Mann-Conomy Update)
- [Undocumented] Added a community-contributed description for the Whiskered Gentleman.
- The Whiskered Gentleman was made paintable.
- [Undocumented] In items_game.txt item_type_name was changed from "TF_Wearable_Hat" to "TF_Wearable_FacialHair". The item's type was thus changed from "Hat" to "Facial Hair".
September 13, 2011 [Item schema update]
- Updated the backpack image.[1]
- Updated the Whiskered Gentleman with an improved appearance.
- Loosened equip region restrictions for the Whiskered Gentleman.
Bugs
- Some painted variants do not appear properly when exposed under certain lighting.
